“DRIP” is the latest release from WibeZz, the project of producer Felix Wiele, and Canadian vocalist May-Ah. The new single marks their third collaboration, continuing a musical relationship that began three years ago when the two met at an outdoor doof in Australia.
Their connection led to the creation of “Illusions,” the first song they made together. Since then, the artists have maintained a creative exchange rooted in contrast: WibeZz brings the pressure, texture and unpredictability of experimental bass music, while May-Ah supplies delicate vocals with a sweet and atmospheric quality.
Drawing inspiration from dubstep, freeform bass and 140 BPM styles, WibeZz’s productions regularly venture beyond conventional genre boundaries. Tribal-influenced drums, deep sub-bass and detailed sound design are recurring elements in his work. His growing catalogue includes releases with multiple labels, many of them connected to the U.S. bass music landscape.
With “DRIP,” those influences are shaped into a moody and immersive collaboration. May-Ah’s voice creates a melodic focal point while WibeZz layers in shadowy bass textures and rhythmic movement. It is a track that captures the pair’s international creative bond and their shared taste for music with depth, emotion and weight.
